Unfortunately --- all the following images were truncated  by the scanner.

To my chagrin, however,  they mostly look better that way -- as a brief vacation from pages dominated by an entire human figure floating in its center.

Perhaps I should begin to draw them this way in the first place.

Or maybe they look better when the missing line was seen when drawing all the others
